The Wasp Closet

Vanishing Elephant Players present The Wasp Closet, written and directed by Zoey Schwab! A broken family seeks to find healing after learning during their Christmas Eve party that their two youngest children were sexually abused by one of their own. The Wasp Closet takes a closer look at what comes after a traumatic event - the sadness, the anger, and the desire for healing through character monologues and on-stage flashbacks. The Wasp Closet brings survivors, their testaments, and the testaments of outsiders to the forefront of the story, widening the scope of what we know about abuse and healing. Contains frank discussions of sexual abuse.

Performance dates are June 21-22 at 7pm, and June 23 at 3pm

Tickets are $15 general admission. We also have a limited number of free community tickets! Please use if you need!

All proceeds go toward the restoration of our home theater, the Historic Masonic Temple of Bay City. Please note that due to stairs leading into the building, as well as down to the bathrooms, our building is not yet accessible to all.
